Create, color, and drag multiple notes.
Create colorful sticky notes, type your content, and drag them freely across a visual board. Sticky Notes gives you a virtual corkboard experience right in the browser with no login or installation needed.
Sticky Notes is a free, browser-based tool that mimics the experience of physical sticky notes on a board. Each note can be typed into, colored with a custom color picker, and dragged anywhere on the canvas. You can create up to 40 notes at once, making it ideal for brainstorming, idea grouping, or visual reminders. There is no sign-up required and no data leaves your browser. Double-click any note to remove it, or use the Clear All button to wipe the board clean. The simple interface keeps the focus on your ideas rather than on managing software.
Type your note content in the text area at the top of the page and pick a color using the color picker. Click Add Note to place a new sticky on the board. Drag any note to reposition it wherever you like on the canvas. To edit a note, click directly into its text area and type. To remove a single note, click the X button on its corner. If you want to clear the entire board, click Clear All. The board arranges new notes automatically in a staggered layout so they do not overlap when first placed, and you can then rearrange them as needed.
Sticky notes created in this tool are held in your browser's session memory, not in persistent local storage. This means your notes remain visible as long as the browser tab is open and active, but they will be lost if you close the tab, refresh the page, or navigate away. This design is intentional — the tool functions as a temporary visual workspace for the current session rather than a long-term note repository. If you want to preserve the content of your notes, take a screenshot of the board before closing the tab, or copy important note content into a persistent tool such as Online Notepad (also available on this site) before finishing your session. For a permanent task list with auto-saving to browser storage between visits, the ToDo List tool on this site offers automatic persistence.
The board supports up to 40 sticky notes at one time. This limit is set to keep performance smooth as each note is rendered as a draggable DOM element with event listeners. In practice, most brainstorming and planning sessions involve far fewer notes — 10 to 20 notes covers the majority of use cases comfortably. If you need to work with more items than 40 allows, consider grouping related notes into categories and using a single note per category with line breaks to list multiple items, rather than creating a separate note for every single point. The board canvas auto-arranges new notes in a staggered grid when they are first added to prevent immediate overlap, though notes can be dragged freely after placement.
Yes. All content you type into sticky notes is processed and stored entirely within your current browser session. No note text, color settings, or position data is transmitted to AskEinvoice.com/Tools's servers or stored anywhere other than your browser's session memory. When you close or refresh the page, all notes and their content are cleared automatically. The tool operates fully client-side using JavaScript. There is no account system, no cloud storage, and no logging of any content you enter.
